Farhan Saeed To Star In A Film!

Farhan Saeed, the formal vocalist of Jal has made a place for himself in industry. He has always made the audience go gaga over his voice. Farhan ventured into acting with drama Dey Ijazat Jo Tu opposite Sohai Ali Abroo. His last serial Udaari was a hit and he also managed to impress the audience with his acting skills.

After music and dramas, Farhan will be making a new addition to his talent list. He will be debuting in films as he has signed his first feature film. The writer of this film is none other than Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, whose Punjab Nahin Jaongi is a big hit. Farhan’s better half Urwa was a part of Khalil Sahab’s last venture and now husband Farhan Saeed will be seen as the lead actor in his unnamed next!

Let’s see if Farhan can impress his fans like he has always managed to do so before! Best of luck to Farhan for his new venture!

Noor has made quite a name for herself in the Pakistani media. Unlike the teaser, where she pummeled a man to death, Mahira Khan is all mushy, romantic and smiles with her beau, Haroon Shahid, in the latest song from Verna. Sambhal Sambhal Kay, officially the second track to be revealed from Mahira Khan's upcoming movie, explores the lady's soft feminine side, and leaves one wondering as to what might have happened to transform this beautiful lady into an angry monster that could kill.

The music arrangement and lyrics for Sambhal Sambhal Kay are pleasantly refreshing and talk about happy times. The song has a very heart warming feel to it all over and reminds you of sunny days with memories that make you smile. Zeb Bangash and Haroon Shahid together have created a beautiful duet with Sambhal Sambhal Kay and yet there's a teeny bit of a problem. Although simple in its musical arrangement and lyrics, Sambhal Sambhal Kay lacks good recall value and perhaps that's where the song might lose its appeal.

The picturization of Sambhal Sambhal Kay will, however, take up a permanent place in your mind. The visuals, the color grading and of course the locations are absolutely wonderful. Mahira Khan looks like a million dollars, all feminine smiles and her charming persona, while Haroon Shahid looks like a man very much in love.

Sambhal Sambhal Kay might have nothing to do with the teaser, but it certainly leaves one wondering about the transformation this lady will go through in the film. Currently, we've experienced a rap song and now a romantic number from Verna. The music seems experimental and therefore we hope it turns out good rather than a confused combination of various genres.

T10 Cricket League launched- could we have a 3rd format of the game?

After the roaring global success of T20 Cricket across the world, a tournament with an even shorter format is being introduced. Teams will get 10 overs each. This league is slotted to start in November. Like most leagues, a bunch of Pakistani players are set to be involved. The T10 league's President and one of the partners is Salman Iqbal (Owner of Karachi Kings & ARY).

In a glittering ceremony yesterday, in presence of showbiz stars from Pakistan & India, and legendary cricketers, the details of the events were formally announced. The tournament will be held from 21st to 25th of December at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Najam Sethi as the PCB chairman has vowed to support this league and allowed Pakistani players to be a part of the league. The trophy will be fought between 5 teams, each including global super stars like Shahid Khan Afridi, England's current limited-overs Captain Eoin Morgan, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, Legendary Sri Lankan Keeper Kumara Sangakara, Bangladesh’s top all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and the mesmerizing Abdur Razzaq and Kaptan Misbah-ul-Haq.

The tournament has a regional outlook to it, as teams are named on basis of 5 distinct regions. The teams include Pakhtoons, Kerala Kings, Bangla Tigers, Punjabi Legends, Maratha Arabians, & Colombo Lions. Yesterday's ceremony also unveiled team logos, and was attended by Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Sohail Khan, Zareen Khan and other stars from Pakistan and across the border.

With just 10 overs on offer, expect all the madness with players trying to maximize on each ball. It is a completely new area for the players and coaches alike. What is a good score? Should they bowl or bat 1st? How long a batsman will be allowed to settle in for? Will there be strategic innings retirement for batsmen? Not sure we will see many forward defensive or leaves. Whoever wins the Cup, cricket fans, sure have another source of entertainment.

Reham Khan Bucks Up Imran Abbas!

Imran Abbas will be seen opposite Sajal Aly in his upcoming drama Noor ul Ain. The director is none other than Sarmad Khoosat and expectations are very high from this play. Sajal is already starring in two hits and same is the case for Imran, so obviously people will be looking forward to Noor ul Ain.
