25 years ago Momina Mustehsan was born in Lahore today. The
singer, song-writer gained fame from her performances in Coke Studio. Her
rendition of “Afreen Afreen” with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan became one of the most
viewed coke studio songs and following her debut she became one of the most
sought-out media personalities in Pakistan. There’s no doubt that very few
people manage to receive this much fame at such a tender age.
Her first encounter with music happened in 2004, when she
recorded her first cover of the song “The Blower’s Daughter”. She didn’t have
any musical training then yet was praised a lot. Clearly, her voice is
God-gifted.
