A lot of Rejections in the Entertainment Business- Yasir Shah

Yasir Shah is a Pakistani actor and model who has not only worked in his homeland but also, in our neighbouring country, India. In an interview with a local television, the self made actor discussed the struggles he had to face in order to be where he is right now.

Every actor has a story on why he or she wanted to become an actor; portray different characters that people fall in love with. Here’s why Yasir Shah decided to join the field of acting,

I believe I was destined to become an actor. Prior to acting, I did many modeling gigs in Pakistan and got my first major break in the popular Indian drama, Khwaish which was produced by Ekta Kapoor for Sony TV. The soap was quite popular in Pakistan too! Although I was not entirely prepared for it, I thank my mentor Ekta Kapoor for believing in me and trusting me with the role of Azaan.

He also commented that he prefers acting as a career over modeling as according to him, modeling is just temporary and doesn’t give a person as much recognition as acting. He believes that his ultimate passion is acting.

When he was asked to advise people who wish to follow his footsteps and try their luck in the Entertainment Industry as an actor or model, he said,

I believe aspiring actors should polish their acting skills and work on their craft. There is a lot of rejection in the entertainment business. So, be ready for it! However, try not taking things to heart.
